Jarrett Stieber, the Eat Me Speak Me pop-up chef who is known for his use of "pretentious flowers" and baby vegetables, is getting in the beer game. Stieber has teamed up with Twain's Brewpub & Billiards brewmaster Chase Medlin to create a limited-edition ale. The release party at Twain's is tonight at 6 p.m.
"The beer is called Govermint Mule Imperial Mild, a 5.2 percent abv mild ale brewed with Woodland Gardens mint and sorrel, as well as lemon and ginger," Stieber tells Eater Atlanta. The chef will be on hand at Twain's to toast the new brew.
Steiber and Medlin have been working on the beer for about a month, and the brewmaster describes Govermint Mule as "lush, crisp, and delicious." Interested drinkers would be advisted to get a taste as soon as possible. The beer is only getting a limited run — "enough to last maybe through the week," Stieber says — and when it's gone, it's gone.
