After filing plans for a Castleberry Hill space, 2 Chainz has officially announced intentions to get into the restaurant business. The Atlanta rapper is partnering with Hookah Hideaway owner Michael Dillard to open Escobar Restaurant & Tapas at 327 Peters St. SW. 2 Chainz posted about his latest venture on Instagram.

Escobar has an Instagram account of its own, though specific details on the restaurant haven't been revealed. A spokesperson previously told What Now Atlanta the rapper is is hoping to create "one of the top spots for the upscale and celebrity crowd in the city."

It isn't clear when Escobar will be ready to open for business. Whether the restaurant will serve turkey lasagna, or if it will be open 24/7 like the Waffle House, also remains to be seen. No matter the final product, it would behoove Mr. Chainz to engage in better business practices than fellow Atlanta rapper-turned-restaurateur T.I.who is being sured by employees of Scales 925 for unpaid wages.
