After a brief hiatus, The General Muir chef Todd Ginsberg and TGM Bread are back with a new lunchtime pop-up in Emory Point. Previously offering soups and sandwiches before shifting to pita wraps and hummus, the new operation is turning out "rustic pizza," and it starts today.
The pop-up's regular hours are Wednesday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and it looks like the pizza is $4.50 per slice. Pies focusing on tomatoes, potatoes, and mushrooms will be coming out of the bakery ovens.
TGM Bread, located right next door to essential Atlanta delicatessen The General Muir, officially opened in January. The bakery has seen some change lately, as former head baker Rob Alexander left to take a position with H&F Bread Co. TGM Bread is now run by Ginsberg, partner Shelley Sweet, and bakery manager Logan Lockner. While it's mostly a wholesale venture, retail hours are available to the public on weekends.
