White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails executive chef Todd Richards is just about ready to debut his latest project. Richards' Southern Fried will host some "random" pop-up hours at Krog Street Market this weekend, a representative tells Eater Atlanta, and the official launch could come as soon as Monday.
The plan calls for a grand opening at the start of next week, but staff training is ongoing, which could push that date back a bit. Either way, Richards's take on fried chicken will soon be available at the Inman Park food hall.
Three varieties of yardbird will be on the menu: classic, hot, and "Richards' HOT." The latter is an homage to Nashville-style hot chicken. Sandwiches and plates will be available, accompanied by sides such as potato wedges; stewed okra and tomatoes; and broccoli, rice, and cheese casserole. All of the chicken and sides can be augmented with a splash of the chef's bourbon hot sauce.
Regular hours and further menu details weren't immediately available.
