Richard Tang’s long-anticipated Inman Park restaurant opens this week. Char Korean Bar & Grill will make its debut for dinner on Wednesday, September 14. The restaurant is situated in the Inman Quarter mixed-use development at 299 North Highland Ave., Suite S.

In July, Tang revealed a team of culinary pros that will execute Char’s concept. Executive chef Ryan Catherall and sous Shaun Byun will lead the kitchen. Tang has said Catherall and Byun will turn "traditional stuff like bo ssam, sea snail, spicy noodles," along with kimchi-pork belly fried rice, sweet potato tempura, and more Korean barbecue staples.

The restaurant’s beverage menu includes a list of house cocktails, beer, and wine. Tang tells Eater Atlanta the drinks are meant to be “fun, smart, and approachable.” Expect the cocktail program to ramp up over time.

Char will initially open for dinner only. Tang says he expects brunch service to come online in about 45 days, and lunch should be up and running in about 60 days. Take a look at the dinner menu below.

This story has been updated with comment from Tang on the beverage program and to reflect an updated menu.
