— From the team behind Brookhaven’s Kaleidoscope Bistro & Pub, Jefe’s Tacos & Tequila officially held its grand opening Friday night. Located at 705 Town Blvd., Q310 in the Town Brookhaven development, Jefe’s is available for your late-night taco fix. The restaurant is open Monday to Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m., Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from noon to 2 a.m., and Sunday from noon to midnight.

The menu, as the restaurant’s name suggests, includes 12 different tacos, plus special entrees, soups, salads, sides, and appetizers.

— Brookhaven isn’t the only metro Atlanta enclave with a new taco joint. Cheeky, described as a "lively taqueria dedicated to redefining Latin-inspired food," opens for dinner tonight in the Gateway Sandy Springs development at 4600 Roswell Road. It’s the fourth outpost for the local chain, following restaurants in Suwanee, Norcross, and Forsyth.

Tin Can Fish House & Oyster Bar is officially in business in Brookhaven, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Taking over the former Shucks Oyster and Wine Bar space at 705 Town Blvd., Q320, the restaurant is open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., seven days a week. Lunch service will reportedly debut next month. It’s the second location for Tin Can; owners Harry and Nik Panagopoulos and Arte Antoniades first opened in Sandy Springs in 2010.

— Atlanta’s newest brewery has opened to the public. Scofflaw Brewing Co.’s tasting room was unveiled on Saturday at 1738 MacArthur Blvd. NW in Westside. Regular hours for tours and tastings are Thursday and Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tours are $14 per person and come with 36 ounces of samples, and "to-go tours" are available for $7 for 36 ounces or $14 for 64 ounces. Scofflaw is pouring four brews in its tasting room: Basement IPA, Slim the Pale Ale, Sneaky Wheat, and Westside IPA.
