It’s been a long time coming, but American Cut is finally ready to open its doors at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta. First announced way back in May 2014 — when the development was simply known as “Buckhead Atlanta” — celebrity chef Marc Forgione’s steakhouse will debut next Friday, September 30. The Regent Cocktail Club, American Cut’s rooftop bar, will open the same day.
After missing its initial deadline for opening, LDV Hospitality, American Cut’s parent company, officially put the restaurant on the back burner last November. At the time, LDV founder and president John Meadow explained his company would wait to launch the restaurant “after there's more growth and excitement” at the development.
In July, word surfaced that American Cut was back on track. A representative for LDV revealed the steakhouse was targeting a September launch, and that the company would open a new cocktail lounge at the location as well. It appears LDV is going to hit its latest opening target.
Chef John Adamson is running the kitchen at American Cut, where he’ll turn out a menu of “signature interpretations on fine dining classics.” The Regent Cocktail Club, inspired by a vintage Miami lounge of the same name, will cater to “the true connoisseurs of cocktail culture,” and an open terrace will offer views of the Atlanta skyline.
Hours for the steakhouse are Sunday through Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5:30 p.m. to midnight. The upstairs cocktail lounge will pour beverages Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
American Cut has additional locations in Tribeca and Midtown, N.Y.; Englewood Cliffs, N.J.; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. LDV operates two more outposts for The Regent Cocktail Club: Miami and Montauk, N.Y.
