Chef Marc Taft has officially launched his own restaurant company, and he’s expanding with three restaurants in Forsyth County. Under the Southern Fried Hospitality umbrella, Taft will open Co-Op Community Table + Bar at the forthcoming Halcyon mixed-use development in April 2018, according to a Tuesday announcement.

In addition to Co-Op, which will serve modern Southern cuisine, Taft will open Feed Fried Chicken + Such and a currently unnamed burger joint, according to Atlanta Magazine. These restaurants are on track to open in April 2018 as well.

Taft is also opening a Feed restaurant at The Battery, the development adjacent to the Atlanta Braves’ new Cobb County ballpark, and he has Brine Fish House on deck for Alpharetta’s Avalon development. Both are scheduled to open this spring. All of Taft’s current ventures focus on local flavors, but future Southern Fried projects may look elsewhere for influence.

“Our restaurants reflect the experiences I have had throughout my career,” Taft said in a prepared statement. “Although guests will see the majority of our brands heavily influenced by Southern heritage, we will be branching out with other unique concepts.”
