After taking a reduced role at 5Church late last year, chef RJ Cooper has moved on. Cooper is heading to the Music City to open a restaurant called Henley, reports Eater Nashville.

“5Church and RJ Cooper have amicably parted ways,” a representative for the restaurant tells Eater Atlanta. “Jamie Lynch has been overseeing the kitchen and menu since he returned from filming the current season of Top Chef.”

Cooper, who won the James Beard Foundation’s award for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic in 2007, was announced as 5Church’s executive chef last May, and the Midtown restaurant opened in June. In November, 5Church announced he had taken a step back and was serving as “consulting chef.”

At Henley, Cooper will serve “shareable dishes and innovative communal courses highlighting seasonal and regional flavors,” according to a press release. The restaurant is on track to open this spring.

5Church also operates restaurants in Charlotte and Charleston.
