The Pinewood owners Mike Blydenstein, Brooks Cloud, and Julian Goglia have completed their renovation project at the Decatur cocktail lounge. The trio has officially expanded into an adjacent space, creating a new dining room, lounge, and private dining space. The Pinewood’s new digs are officially open today.
A revamped space isn’t the only change on deck; Andy Jackson has joined the team as chef de cuisine. Jackson’s resume includes time at Kevin Gillespie’s Revival, and he will offer “an inventive twist on The Pinewood’s locally sourced menu,” according to a Thursday announcement. But, a few menu favorites — The Pinewood’s cheeseburger, chicken and waffles, smoked pork chop, and pappardelle bolognese — will remain unchanged.
Blydenstein, Cloud, and Goglia will celebrate their new space at The Pinewood’s fifth birthday party on Tuesday, January 17, when $5 burgers and old fashioneds will be available all day.
