Talat Market an Ah-Ma’s Taiwanese Kitchen will get together for a collaborative dinner on Wednesday, November 15. Parnass Lim Savang, chef at Talat Market, which has been popping up on weekends at Candler Park’s Gato since April, tells Eater Atlanta the meal will showcase the differences between Thai and Taiwanese cuisines.
Savang and Ah-Ma’s chef Alex Chen will prepare dishes with ingredients sourced from Georgia farms. Some courses will be individual plates, while others will be served family style. The event will take place at Ah-Ma’s, located at 931 Monroe Drive NE, #A108, in Midtown.
Seatings are available for 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. Tickets, available online, are $98.74 including a service fee, tax, and gratuity. Beer and wine will be sold separately during the dinner.
Savang has seen consistent crowds since debuting his Thai pop-up in the spring, and he’s hoping the venture is “a footstep to something greater” in the local restaurant scene. Ah-Ma’s has been a well-regarded destination for noodles, soups, bao, and rice dishes since opening in August 2014.
