Meet the site’s new leader

Missy Frederick is the Cities Director for Eater.

Vox Media is thrilled to announce that Beth McKibben has come on board as the new editor of Eater Atlanta.

McKibben is a freelance cocktail and spirits writer based in Atlanta, and has been a longtime contributor to the Eater site. She was previously the bar scene columnist for the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and a contributor to Atlanta Magazine, Southern Kitchen, and Liquor.com. The Connecticut native has lived in Atlanta for the past 22 years. A history junkie, she is an unapologetic collector of antique glassware, as well as a lover of martinis, whiskey, chicken biscuits, buttered radishes and toast, and the bucatini from BoccaLupo.

McKibben replaces Chris Fuhrmeister, who has moved on to a full-time position with Eater.com, covering the intersection of pop culture and restaurants.

McKibben will work alongside a staff of writers and photographers to comprehensively cover the area’s major restaurant news developments, as well as highlight its standout dining destinations. Reach out to her with tips and story ideas here, and don't forget to follow her on Instagram and Twitter.
