Hogs for the Cause Taco #3

Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q and Taqueria del Sol are selling a special taco right now through November 5. The flour tortilla taco includes smoked Fox Bros. chopped brisket with Taqueria’s addition of tomatillo-serrano salsa, cilantro, and onion. All proceeds from the taco sales will go to Hogs for the Cause, which raises money for families with children fighting pediatric brain cancer. The taco will be sold for $2.99 at all Taqueria del Sol locations, Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, and the Que-osk.

OK YAKI in my Belly!

OK Yaki is taking over Sun in My Belly (2161 College Ave NE) on Friday nights in November and December, serving okonomiyaki and yakisoba with a full bar.

Mibo Ramen Pop-Up at Ration & Dram

Chef Mihoko Obunai is setting up shop at Ration & Dram at 130 Arizona Avenue NE for a limited two-night run (this Wednesday and next Wednesday starting at 6 p.m.) Enjoy ramen and drinks by Kysha Cyrus and Andy Minchow.

Osteria Mattone’s Four-Year Anniversary

Osteria Mattone is offering a special four-course meal in honor of its four-year anniversary. The $44-per-person dinner includes crispy oysters, baked rigatoni, swordfish, and chocolate bonet. There’s an optional wine pairing too that diners can add on to their meal.

Canoe’s Fall Harvest Dinner

Chef Matthew Basford is serving a Georgia Ossabaw Hog along with fall sides and seasonal brews from Reformation Brewery and Orpheus Brewing. Enjoy the meal out in the garden in one of Canoe’s luxury white tents. Tickets are $65, see the whole menu here.

Better Halves Dinner with Zach Meloy and Hector Santiago

Chef Hector Santiago of El Super Pan is teaming up with Chef Zach Meloy for a special dinner at Better Half (349 14th St NW Bldg C-100). A portion of the proceeds from a $125-per-person dinner will go toward aid in Puerto Rico. Feast on dishes like yuca gnudi, slow cooked pork neck, and rice crusted trout. Edgar’s Proof & Provision’s Wild Turkey Party

Meet up with hometown friends right before Thanksgiving for Wild Turkey drink specials, shot specials and a $5 Wild Turkey Punch. Proceeds go towards the Sotherly Foundation, which provides aid to veterans in the Atlanta area.
