Opening Alert
The El Felix at The Battery Atlanta officially opened its doors Monday, November 20 for lunch and dinner. The second outpost of chef Ford Fry’s OTP Tex-Mex restaurant will serve staples from the Alpharetta original as well as special menu items only available at the Battery location. Take a peek inside, including photos of the 1947 Raymond Lowey-inspired taco truck which calls the restaurant home in a specially-designed garage. [Eater]

Soft opening
Grant Park Market is in the midst of a soft opening this week at The Larkin, a new mixed-used development on Memorial Drive across from Oakland Cemetery, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Like its sister market on McLendon Avenue in Candler Park, Grant Park offers groceries, wine, and beer as well as counter-serve sandwiches, hamburgers, grab-and-go meals, and a hot bar. The market also includes a public area with dine-in seating. [AJC]
Christmas bar pop-up returns
The Christmas-themed cocktail bar Miracle on Monroe returns to Atlanta on Friday, November 24, and now includes a second location. After its wildly-popular debut last year at Tapa Tapa in the Midtown Promenade complex, Miracle Two has been added at The Shops Buckhead Atlanta. Crowds often waited for more than an hour last year to gain entrance into the holiday bar. Both locations will be open November 24 through December 24, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 5:00 p.m to midnight and Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. [Eater]
New brunch
After a successful trial run this past Sunday, The Canteen has informed Eater Atlanta brunch will continue to be on regular rotation at the micro-food hall in Midtown. Brunch runs Sundays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The hall will close for the day following brunch service. [Eater]
The Shutter?
Not so fast. Turns out Battle & Brew is now under new ownership and will reopen at some point, according to the bar’s Facebook page. No reopening date has been given, but last week the bar placed a want ad for bartenders. Sandy Springs-based Battle & Brew had previously announced it would be closing its doors on November 5 after 12 years in business. No reason was given at the time for the closure. But it seems the game bar and restaurant has been spared. [FB]
