The Atlanta Police Department (APD) has released the restaurant surveillance video from Sunday’s robbery at Barcelona Wine Bar at the Westside Ironworks which led to the death of 29-year-old Chelsea Beller.
Beller, a manager at the restaurant, was shot once in the shoulder after she was forced by the three male suspects to open a safe in an upstairs office. She succumbed to her injuries after being transported to Grady Memorial Hospital.
APD is asking the public for help in identifying the three suspects shown in the video.
Police are accepting tips and information about the crime at 404-577-8477 (phone), text (274637) and at crimestoppersatlanta.org. A reward of up to $7000 is being offered to tipsters that lead to an arrest and indictment in this case.
“No crime against our citizens, anywhere in the city, is acceptable,” APD said in a statement on their Facebook page. “But the robbery and murder of an innocent restaurant manager doing her job is a terrible crime that has shocked even the most jaded among us here at APD.”
Beller’s friends have set up a GoFundMe page for her family to help with funeral expenses. The page indicates she leaves behind her mother, two sisters, and her boyfriend, James.
[UPDATE] Eric Ferraro, the restaurant’s general manager, told Eater Atlanta Barcelona Wine Bar’s Westside location plans to reopen on Saturday, November 25 at 4 p.m.
