Eat tacos with chef Hugh Acheson
Chef and author Hugh Acheson will be in Atlanta Thursday, November 30 at Spiller Park in Toco Hills promoting his latest cookbook The Chef & The Slow Cooker from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Acheson will host taco-making demos from a silver Airstream trailer using All-Clad slow cookers. This is all part of a 25-city tour for Airstream’s #EndlessCaravan and ‘real people’ campaigns. All tacos sold from Acheson’s demos will go to benefit the chef’s non-profit Seed Life Skills, which helps kids learn to cook while applying science. Cookbooks will be available for purchase. Eater Atlanta first reported the new brewery would be opening in the Summerhill development on Georgia Avenue just east of the former Turner Field last May. Halfway Crooks Brewing will officially open its doors next summer, this according to beer writer Austin Ray, who grabbed an exclusive for Good Beer Hunting. Halfway will be the first business to open in the development dubbed simply as Summerhill. Look for saisons, pilsners, and Belgian pale ales to be among the brewery’s regular beer offerings.
