A new neighborhood bar is in store for the corner of Woodward Avenue and Boulevard in Grant Park — and a Jimmy John’s location too. The new eating and drinking options will open in late spring 2018, according to a press release from Pace Properties, the developer for the block.
The watering hole, Manny’s Grant Park Pub, is the brainchild of Manuel Maloof, a restaurateur who’s part of the extended family behind the iconic Manuel’s Tavern. Manny’s Grant Park Pub will cater to families and sports fans with plenty of televisions, a patio area, and a small game room with darts. Expect a lengthy wine list, more than 20 beers on draft, and cocktails like Moscow Mule Slushies. The restaurant will be located at 588 Woodward Avenue.
“I’ve wanted to open a neighborhood ‘go to’ for years,” Manuel Maloof said in a press release. “I love the area, and for the last eight years, I have lived in Reynoldstown, before that Old 4th Ward and Grant Park before that. There has been an incredible need for more family-friendly local gathering spots, and we think Manny's will be that spot for a fun night out for drinks, a hang out to watch the game and a place for a solid meal, celebrations or a private event.”
