City Pharmacy in downtown Covington, 35 miles east of Atlanta on I-20, opened Tuesday, December 12 for dinner.

The much-anticipated OTP restaurant offers a menu of elevated southern comfort dishes from executive chef Christian Perez including smoked catfish croquettes, crab-stuffed trout, a pork chop with apple butter, and a burger with caramelized onions and cheese served with wedge potatoes. City Pharmacy also offers an oyster raw bar with up to four oyster varieties as well as a selection of three to four hams.

The beverage program, designed by former H. Harper Station proprietors Jerry and Krista Slater, is broken down into four cocktail categories: shaken, stirred, fountain, and parlour. Cocktails include the gin and crème de violette-based aviation, a reverse vesper with Cocchi americano, gin, and vodka, a bourbon-based soda with cherry, sassafras, and sodium phosphate, and the crème de menthe and cognac-based grasshopper.
