New Realm Brewing, the forthcoming brewery from Mitch Steele, announced yesterday that chef Julio Delgado, formerly of JP Atlanta at the Hyatt Regency Downtown, will lead its restaurant kitchen. Doors will open at the new Poncey-Highland brewery-restaurant combo as early as the end of December.
Delgado will create his dishes for pairing with the brewery’s beers and intends to utilize ingredients from local farms to blend “global flavors and southern techniques.” Menu items thus far include a prime beef burger on brioche, beer can chicken, and a selection of four wood fire pizzas baked in a separate, open-view kitchen.
The New Realm complex will feature a main dining room, a bar, a lower level patio, a beer garden on the BeltLine, and a rooftop patio. A private dining room is located on the lower level and a tasting room with tour center on the second level overlooks the brewing facility below.
New Realm will produce 20,000 barrels at capacity and will keg, bottle, and can their beers which will include IPAs, lagers, and barrel-aged brews.
