Stats has some big changes in the works. Parent company Legacy Ventures is adding a brewery on site, and the Downtown sports bar will undergo a name change and become Stats Brewpub.

“The brewery is something we’ve been thinking about, and with the ever growing popularity in the craft beer scene, especially in Atlanta, it seems like a great opportunity and addition to our restaurant,” Legacy Ventures chief operating officer for restaurants Brian Bullock said in a prepared statement. “Our beer program will remain very strong, offering a little something for everyone, and now adding our own brews will make Stats even more of a dining destination.”

The brewery will be installed in Stats’s lower-level events space, and once it’s up and running, it will host tastings, private parties, and beer dinners. A search for a brewmaster is currently underway. Stats Brewpub will offer six taps for in-house brews, but it will continue to an expansive list of outside options.

Construction on the project is scheduled to begin this month, and the Legacy team expects a July debut for the new brewpub.
