Another big name is on board at The Battery, the mixed-use development rising adjacent to the Atlanta Braves’ new Cobb County ballpark. Celebrity Chef Todd English will open Todd English Tavern, reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. It will be part of a larger project called Live! at the Battery.

The project will also house PBR Cowboy Bar, according to the AJC, as well as an entertainment venue called Sports and Social. Todd English Tavern will serve upscale bar fare, showcasing “Southern heritage with an international influence.”

Plans for The Battery were first announced in October 2015, with names such as Linton Hopkins, Ford Fry, and the Fox brothers on board. The development will also include a burger joint from actor Mark Wahlberg, a taproom from Athens-based Terrapin Beer Co., a fried chicken restaurant from chef Marc Taft, and Punch Bowl Social, a dining and gaming destination that boasts Top Chef judge and Georgia restaurateur Hugh Acheson as a culinary partner.

Fry will be opening a second outpost for his Tex-Mex concept The El Felix (he originally announced he would take his similar Superica brand to the development). Hopkins recently revealed his restaurant will be called C. Ellet’s, a New Orleans- and Southern-inspired steakhouse.

Chef Jimmy Reyes, previously of English’s Orlando restaurant Bluezoo, will run the kitchen at Todd English Tavern, according to the AJC. Carl Grossglass is moving on from Holeman & Finch to lead the beverage program. The restaurant is scheduled for an April 12 debut.
