Two trendy, national chains are opening their first Georgia outposts at Atlantic Station. Gyu-Kaku Japanese BBQ will take over a portion of the space that previously housed Copeland’s of New Orleans, reports the Atlanta Business Chronicle, and Salata will move into the old Moe’s Southwest Grill space.
Los Angeles-based Gyu-Kaku offers a concept similar to Korean barbecue in which diners grill their own meats and vegetables at their tables. The chain’s signature menu includes proteins such as dry-aged skirt steak marinated in miso, garlic-marinated shrimp, and dry-aged short rib. There are currently 40 Gyu-Kaku locations across nine states and Canada.
Salata, which is based out of Houston, is a fast-casual health-food chain with more than 50 outposts in Texas, Illinois, and California. The Atlantic Station restaurant will be the first of many coming Atlanta: Franchisee Unbeleafable Holdings has signed an agreement to open 20 locations in the local market “over the next few years,” according to a press release.
Both incoming Atlantic Station restaurants are expected to open this summer.
