A disagreement between two Pallookaville Fine Foods employees turned violent this week, leading to an arrest and shutting down the restaurant for a night. Ian Clayton was placed under arrest after allegedly stabbing coworker James Thomas “more than 10 times,” according to Decaturish. Thomas was reportedly taken to Atlanta Medical Center, where he underwent surgery to repair a punctured spleen and lung.
What led to the altercation is unclear, but Decaturish reports Clayton stabbed Thomas once in the chest and “11 to 15 times” in the back with a seven-inch butcher knife. Clayton was taken to Grady Hospital before being placed under arrest.
A statement posted on Pallookaville’s Facebook page indicates Thomas is recovering well.
“[Thomas] is in stable condition and in good spirits at the hospital today,” the statement reads. “Police escort took the perpetrator, another employee, to the hospital.”
Charges against Clayton have not been announced.
