Atlanta restaurant industry veterans Kevin Rathbun and Peter Kaiser are teaming up on a meat-centric Sandy Springs project, and it’s on track to debut next month. Kaiser’s Chop House will open at 5975 Roswell Road in April, Rathbun tells Eater Atlanta.
Rathbun has a few eponymous restaurants around town, including Inman Park’s Kevin Rathbun Steak, and Kaiser most recently held the title of executive chef at the now-defunct Twist in Buckhead. At Kaiser’s Chop House, the duo will serve “quality cuts of meats, superior ingredients, and a boutique wine and cocktail program,” according to the restaurant’s official announcement.
Local firm The Johnson Studio at Cooper Carry will handle the design. Diners can look for a large walnut bookshelf separating the bar area from the dining room, a floor-to-ceiling wine cellar, spherical chandeliers, fresh flowers, and “modern art” (exactly what sort of modern art remains to be seen).
