The team behind Tin Lizzy’s Cantina, Big Ketch Saltwater Grill, Smokebelly, The Southern Gentleman, and Gypsy Kitchen is plotting its next move in Marietta. Beni’s Cubano will open at the Avenue East Cobb development, according to a Tuesday announcement.
Executive chef Cesar Velazquez will run the kitchen. The menu hasn’t been released, but Velazquez says he’ll cook up “home-style Cuban cooking with a chef’s touch.”
“Beni’s Cubano is our way of exposing guests’ palates to the island of Cuba with authentic dishes and a genuine sense of hospitality,” the chef said in a prepared statement. “We want our guests to come back not just for the food, but also for the experience.”
In addition to Cuban dishes, Beni’s will pour cocktails and coffee beverages. The restaurant’s decor will be inspired by what one might find in Santiago or Havana.
Beni’s is being installed at 4475 Roswell Road, Suite 1510. A grand opening is expected sometime in May.
