BeltLine-adjacent restaurant Ladybird Grove & Mess Hall is refreshing its menu and expanding brunch service. Chef Cooper Miller will debut some new dishes this Friday, the same day Ladybird launches its new Friday brunch service.
With brunch available three days a week going forward, Miller and owner Michael Lennox hope Atlantans will swing by and enjoy a few more three-day weekends. The way they see it, working Atlantans aren’t getting much done on Friday afternoons anyway, so why not kick off the weekend a little early?
Cooper is making adjustments to Ladybird’s brunch, lunch, and dinner menus, adding Southern dishes such as fried chicken and compressed watermelon, barbecue shrimp, fish and grits, and Mississippi tamales. A couple of family-style brunch options — a smoked salmon board and the “woodsman’s breakfast” (biscuits, fried eggs, smoked poblano sausage, bacon, grilled vegetables and chili peppers, and rajas) — will be available as well.
Ladybird is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 p.m. to late-night.
