Concentrics Restaurants, the company behind One Midtown Kitchen, Nexto, and a few more Atlanta dining rooms, is opening a new restaurant called Allora at the Twelve Hotel in Atlantic Station. Helmed by chef Christopher Maher, it will replace Concentrics’s Lobby Bar & Bistro, and construction is scheduled to begin in June.
Maher comes from another Concentrics restaurant. His last gig was serving co-executive chef with Matthew Weinstein at One Midtown Kitchen, which he left in December to focus on this new project. At Allora, his menu, which is still being finalized, will include pizzas, fresh pastas, insalatas, and small plates.
Design is being described as “industrial” and “inviting.” Elements will include warm leathers and woods, and the space will include a large, central bar; chef’s tables overlooking the open kitchen, and booths. Al fresco dining will be available on a covered patio.
Plans call for Lobby to remain open in the near term, shifting to an alternate dining room with a limited menu during construction. It will shutter when Allora is ready to debut, which is expected in July.
In addition to One Midtown Kitchen, Nexto, and the forthcoming Allora, Concentrics operates Two Urban Licks, Tap: A Gastropub, Parish, and Room at Twelve Centennial Park.
