Chateau Saigon, a top Buford Highway destination for Vietnamese cuisine, will close for good at the end of service this Sunday, May 7. The restaurant announced the shutter in a statement posted on Facebook.
“After more than a decade on Buford Highway, we are sad to announce that we will be shutting our doors this Sunday, May 7, 2017,” the statement reads. “Please come visit us this week and have your favorite dish one last time! We appreciate our loyal customers and friends who have supported us all these many years. Thank you to our amazing servers and awesome kitchen staff — we will miss you all!”
Reason for the shutter was not announced, but a response to a Facebook commenter makes it clear the restaurant will not be relocating or reopening: “Not at this time. It appears that this is a final week for us.”
There’s not word on whether Le Chat, the pop-up version of the restaurant that shows up in various places around town, will continue to operate.
