Inside Taverna, a New Buckhead Destination for Italian Cuisine

Risotto, pizza, pasta, and more

Taverna is the latest venture to open at the Shops Buckhead Atlanta, making its debut on Thursday. Based out of Dallas, and with seven other locations across Texas, California, and Mexico, the restaurant serves a variety of Italian fare, focusing on risotto.

Taverna replaces Thirteen Pies, which closed last May after less than two years in business. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Weekend brunch is available Saturday and Sunday from opening to 3 p.m. The space is designed to have a rustic, cozy feel, with lots of light and dark wood, painted and exposed brick, and leather banquets. The marble bar is backed by an impressive collection of spirits and wines.
