Beni’s Cubano has finalized the menu that will be served upon opening in Marietta. The restaurant, which comes from the restaurant group behind Tin Lizzy’s Cantina, Big Ketch Saltwater Grill, Smokebelly, The Southern Gentleman, and Gypsy Kitchen, is gearing up to serve pressed sandwiches, rum drinks, and more.
Executive chef Cesar Velazquez will run day-to-day operations at the restaurant, which is setting up shop at the Avenue East Cobb development. “Beni’s Cubano is our way of exposing guests’ palates to the island of Cuba with authentic dishes and a genuine sense of hospitality,” Velazquez previously said. “We want our guests to come back not just for the food, but also for the experience.”
Highlights include a traditional Cuban sandwich, seafood criollo (sautéed shrimp and mahi mahi with Cuban-Creole sauce, sofrito, tomato, and olives), and yucca fries. The bar will pour a selection of Cuban staples (Cuba libre, daiquiri, la flaca, and the like), beer, wine, and a few high-end rums. Cuban coffee drinks will be available, too.
Beni’s is currently seeking prospective employees, and a representative tells Eater Atlanta the restaurant is expected to open at 4475 Roswell Road, Suite 1510, “in the coming weeks.” Take a look at the complete menu below.
