Mississippi-based eatery Babalu Tapas & Tacos pinpoints Midtown for its next store in the chain expansion. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that Bablu will open at 33 Peachtree Pl. this summer.

The menu is stocked with guacamole made at the table, chicken tamales, duck confit tacos, lamb sliders, Cuban tortas, Mexican street corn, and other dishes taking inspiration from various Latin American cultures.

According to Babalu’s website, the restaurants are named the song Ricky Ricardo sings in I Love Lucy. Babalu currently has locations in Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Alabama.

The fast-casual eatery is the work of restaurateurs Bill Latham and Al Roberts.
