Captain B’s Returning to Ticonderoga Club

Catfish, deviled crab cakes, oysters August 6

Beth McKibben is the editor and staff reporter for Eater Atlanta and has been covering food and cocktails locally and regionally for 12 years.

The Captain returns to the kitchen at Ticonderoga Club on August 6 for an afternoon of seafood delights by chef David Bies (aka Captain B) and his crew.

Beginning at 12:30 p.m., the Club will transform into a fish house meets fish fry serving up fried catfish, deviled crab cakes, Apalachicola oysters, and Georgia-caught peel-and-eat shrimp. Expect sides of hush puppies and braised greens along with last year’s “sleeper hit” Captain B’s cornbread salad and buttermilk pound cake with peaches n’ cream for dessert.

Last year’s event was so popular, people waited in line for nearly an hour for a seat. T-Club has assured Eater Atlanta Captain B and the crew are ready for this year’s crowds with more food and a tap takeover with Hapeville’s Arches Brewing. The takeover will feature a few “taproom-only” brews. And, for those lucky enough to be the first 25 guests in the door, expect to be rewarded with special prizes.
