Brian Lewis, owner of Bocado in Westside, Bocado Burger in Alpharetta, and Amer in Inman Park, is opening a pizzeria called Al Forno’s in Midtown. The restaurant will operate as a mostly take-and-bake and delivery business. Lewis expects to debut Al Forno’s later this month at 1080 West Peachtree Street NW.

Bocado chef Adam Waller is collaborating on the pizzeria and has come up with a menu of housemade or custom-built Neapolitan-style pies. Orders are expected to take five to seven minutes, and diners will finish the cooking in their home ovens. Although, there will be limited seating for fully cooked dine-in service.

Al Forno’s will use low-gluten dough made from Antimo Caputo “00” flour, and the pizzas will be topped with seasonal ingredients. Some small plates, such as marinated olives, tomato bisque, fresh bufala mozzarella, and arugula and kale salads, will be available as sides, and gelato is on deck for dessert. Patrons will place orders on site, by phone, or online.

“[Al Forno’s will offer] the convenience of delivery matched with the ease of finishing your pizza just how you like it,” Lewis said in a prepared statement Wednesday. “It’s quick and fun, and the best pizza is straight from the oven.”
