Already operating no less than 10 Atlanta restaurants, empire builder Ford Fry is taking his show to the street with a new food truck. The truck will operate outside Fry’s forthcoming El Felix outpost at Cobb County’s Battery development, reports Atlanta Magazine, but despite the engine and wheels, it will remain stationary.

The truck, designed by local firm Office of Brothers and built by Food Trucks South, will specialize in quick service that is ideal on Atlanta Braves game days, according to Atlanta. Portable items such as nachos, tacos, hot tamales, margaritas, and beer will be on the menu. Fry tells the publication he hopes his truck will be seen as “a good late-night, post-game option.”

The El Felix is scheduled to open at the development that sits adjacent to SunTrust Park this October. Fry also has another new Tex-Mex restaurant in the works for Piedmont Heights. That venture, which does not yet have a name, will be more casual and focus on chicken al carbon.

Fry’s current Atlanta restaurant roster includes No. 246 in Decatur; The El Felix in Alpharetta; BeetleCat and Superica in Inman Park; Marcel, JCT. Kitchen & Bar, and The Optimist in Westside; and St. Cecilia, King + Duke, and a second Superica in Buckhead. He also operates State of Grace in Houston, and he has more expansion plans for Space City, Nashville, and Charlotte.
