Celebrity chef Hugh Acheson and local coffeehouse veteran Dale Donchey have opened their new Toco Hills location for Spiller Park Coffee. The cafe, a brick-and-mortar offshoot of Spiller Park’s original Ponce City Market kiosk, is located at 2929 North Druid Hills Road.
Spiller Park Toco Hills is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is serving its own menu, giving fans of the PCM kiosk extra incentive to visit. Donchey, whose experience includes includes time at Steady Hand Pour House, Method Coffee Bar, and Octane Coffee, is overseeing the cafe’s beverage program and brewing from an ever-evolving selection of seasonal beans. Similar to the original Spiller Park, Acheson’s food menu is toast-heavy.
Acheson and Donchey debuted their coffee venture as a pre-opening PCM pop-up in June 2015. Spiller Park’s permanent Central Food Hall kiosk, which is located between located between Linton Hopkins’s H&F Burger and celebrity chef Jonathan Waxman's Brezza Cucina, opened the following October.
