Hugh Acheson booking signing
What: Despite what happened on ‘This Is Us’ the other night, Top Chef judge Hugh Acheson wants people to know not to fear the slow cooker (aka Crock Pot). He has an entire cookbook dedicated to the kitchen contraption’s recipes to prove it. Acheson will be signing copies of his latest book The Chef and the Slow Cooker in Atlanta at Ponce City Market.

Bar Americano grand opening
What: After two months in business, Bar Americano from the team behind The Pinewood and The Mercury is throwing a grand opening celebration. The restaurant is offering a four-course tasting menu which includes soup or salad, a pasta course, roast chicken or flounder, and gelato for dessert. After 10 p.m., expect dollar pizza slices, $3 Peronis and prosecco, and $9 cocktails like a negroni riff with gin, Campari, and Alessio Chinato vermouth.

Latte art throwdown at Chrome Yellow Trading Co.
What: Calling on latte artists. Chrome Yellow Trading Co. in Edgewood is hosting an epic latte art throwdown featuring Stumptown Coffee, steamed milk, Creature Comfort Beer, and a charity raffle with lots of prizes benefiting The Giving Kitchen; a non-profit organization providing crisis grants for individuals in the Atlanta restaurant industry.

Valentine’s Day collaborative chefs dinner
What: Grab reservations now. The analog dinner series is back just in time for Valentine’s Day. The five course dinner features four seafood courses and a duck main course from chefs Todd Richards (Richard’s Southern Fried) and Guy Wong (Miso Izakaya, Le Fat, Ton Ton) with cocktails by Jerry and Krista Slater of the forthcoming The Expat in Athens.
