Hodgepodge Coffeehouse revamping East Atlanta location
After announcing plans to open a second location in Summerhill next year, owner Krystle Rodriguez told What Now Atlanta she is making changes to the original shop in East Atlanta. Rodriquez is converting the “living room” into a market which will serve prepared food and grab-and-go options. She also plans to expand the shop’s coffee and tea selections. BurgerFi in Midtown closes
The burger chain announced its sudden closure via a voicemail recording. What Now Atlanta reports the recording says the following regarding the closure of its Midtown location, “This is strictly a business decision, and the closure is a part of BurgerFi’s overall strategy to be able to provide our better burgers across the nation and continue to give guests the best experience possible.” The gourmet burger chain’s four other locations at the CNN Center, Alpharetta, Lawrenceville, and Kennesaw remain open. Atlanta Community Food Bank (ACFB) fundraiser
Bulla Gastrobar at 60 11th Street NE in Midtown is holding a food bank fundraiser Monday, January 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. A $10 cover charge will serve as a donation.
