Laotian Street Food Heads to Chamblee as Westside Stir-fry Restaurant Closes

Plus Ramen and bagel shop openings imminent in East Atlanta

Ramen coming to East Atlanta
East Atlanta’s Global Grub Collective (GGC), home to We Suki Suki, will be getting a new ramen stall on January 16. Lifting Noodles Ramen from Seven Chan and Ken Yu who own the popular GGC stall Poké Burri will serve traditional tonkotsu, spicy, and fried, brothless ramen along with a “secret menu of weird creations”, bibimbap, and barbecue bowls, according to their Instagram. Lifting Noodles plans to offer vegetarian options soon. [INSTAGRAM]

Emerald City Bagels opening imminent in East Atlanta
Bagel lovers in East Atlanta Village may only have to wait another week before the brick and mortar shop from the mother-daughter duo of Deanna and Jackie Halcrow finally opens for business. The City of Atlanta permitting department seems to be the cause for much of the delay. The shop’s Facebook page posted a message alluding to Emerald City’s debut this past Saturday. [FACEBOOK]

Snackboxe Bistro Lao Street Food opening soon
The restaurant offering Laotian street foods will open on Monday, January 15 with a limited menu in Doraville’s Super H Mart plaza on Peachtree Road, according to their Facebook page. [FACEBOOK]

One Rooster on Howell Mill has shuttered
Made-to-order, stir-fry restaurant One Rooster which took over the space formerly occupied by The Original Chow Baby has closed. The reason for the closure has been blamed on “lack of foot traffic”, according to Tomorrow’s New Today. One Rooster opened at the corner of Howell Mill Road and 11th Street last February. [ToNT]
