Food Network star Alton Brown and Atlanta restaurant designer Elizabeth Ingram are officially married. The couple, who became engaged in April, got married over the weekend on a boat in Charleston, South Carolina, according to Brown’s Instagram. Their newly-adopted shelter dog Scabigail was among the honored guests at the nuptials.
Singer-songwriter — and Ingram’s cousin — Liz Phair sent her best wishes to the couple tweeting, “Wedding bells in the family yesterday! Congratulations to my beautiful cousin Beth and her love, @altonbrown xoxo I wish I could have been there!”
The pair met when Brown hired Ingram to design his new Marietta loft space. The finished product was recently featured in Architectural Digest, along with their love story.
Ingram has designed several of chef Ford Fry’s restaurants, including Marcel and Beetlecat. She most recently completed the designs for Golden Eagle in Reynoldstown and Banshee in East Atlanta Village. Her work at Golden Eagle garnered an Eater award last year for “Restaurant Design of the Year”.
Brown is currently working on a reboot of his popular Food Network show Good Eats called Return of the Eats which should debut this year. Everyone’s favorite food nerd is also finishing up Good Eats: Reloaded, a show in which Brown digs deep into the Good Eats vault to revisit a few classic episodes with new scenes and recipes. That show debuts on the Cooking Channel October 15.
