It looks like it won’t be long before Victory Brands (Victory Sandwich Bar, S.O.S Tiki Bar, Little Trouble) opens its next restaurant, LLoyd’s Restaurant & Lounge at the Dickey on Dekalb Avenue. The “unholy mix of Chili’s and Southern comfort food” should open in November, according to a hiring post on Victory’s Instagram.
Owner Ian Jones told Eater Atlanta in December that LLoyd’s (yes, spelled with two capital Ls) is going to skew more diner than dive bar and will include French dips, burgers, and fried chicken on its menu. Regulars to the brand’s defunct cocktail bar Paper Plane (RIP) — now S.O.S Tiki Bar — were overjoyed to learn its popular prime rib nights are likely to be on regular rotation again at LLoyd’s.
Jones said the vibe (and the prices) will be as low-key as the food and drinks at the restaurant.
In addition to LLoyd’s, Victory is planning to open a small coffee kiosk in the lobby next door, serving grab-and-go food like foil-wrapped “gas station biscuits” under a heat lamp with prices decreasing a dollar every hour.
Eater Atlanta has reached out for more details on the opening and menu.
