The Spotted Trotter seals the deal on new Moreland Avenue shop

Charcuterie and sausage shop The Spotted Trotter has finalized the paperwork and moving forward with construction on its new location reportedly at 229 Moreland Avenue SE in the old Tippens Appliances and Furniture store, according to Instagram. The original shop, owned by Kevin and Megan Ouzts, is currently located on Hosea Williams. The Moreland Avenue location will expand Spotted Trotter’s curing and sausage-making operations, which will now include a second story production facility and new curing caves. No word as to when the shop will open. The couple closed The Spotted Trotter kiosk (now Recess) and restaurant Cockentrice (now Bar Mercado) at Krog Street Market in 2016. In addition to its retail shop, The Spotted Trotter also provides cured and smoked meats to restaurants throughout Atlanta. [INSTAGRAM]

Jenny Levison aka Souper Jenny is returning to the stage this week

Souper Jenny owner chef Jenny Levison will hit the stage for her one-woman show entitled “I Love, I Lost, I Made Spaghetti” opening October 25 at the Georgia Ensemble Theatre in downtown Roswell, Atlanta Magazine reports. In the play, Levison’s character, Giulia, discusses her troubled love life while cooking a full pasta meal. Levison, who is also an actor, told Eater Atlanta she was preparing for the role in June when she broke the news she would also be opening her next Souper Jenny behind the Red Door Playhouse on Atlanta Street in Roswell. Hobnob-Dunwoody opens in December

Sean and Becky Yeremyan will open a third location of their southern pub at Perimeter Place (1221 Ashford Crossing) in the same complex as Super Target this December. Hobnob’s original restaurant is located in Midtown at the corner of Monroe and Piedmont. A second location is located in Brookhaven near CineBistro. The Yeremyan’s say the Dunwoody Hobnob will be honing in on the weekday and happy hour experiences in order to take advantage of the daytime workforce in the numerous office complexes and shopping districts in the area.
