First, the Loews in Midtown gave Atlantans a taste of “the golden age of cocktails” with their pop-up cocktail bar Traveller Bar inside a reconstructed elevator car. That bar was retired from its lobby residence in January to make way for the hotel brand’s latest flight of fancy, The Bellhop Bar, fashioned out of a large steamer trunk. It’s open daily from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. before it literally closes up shop for the night.
A bell will toll each evening at 5 p.m. to announce the bar is open for business.
In addition to very limited hours, The Bellhop Bar is also offering just two pre-batched cocktails as well as a red and sparkling wine on its abbreviated drinks menu. Cocktails include a bourbon old fashioned named Ponce City using Atlanta’s own 18.21 bitters and a riff on a vodka martini called Georgia on My Mind consisting of peach simple syrup and lime juice.

The Bellhop Bar is located in the hotel’s lobby bar across from the elevators and runs through mid-January.
