The Midtown Atlanta location of New York City’s food-cart-turned-restaurant chain The Halal Guys opens on Friday, November 16 at Modera Midtown on 8th Street. The grand opening celebration kicks off at 11 a.m. and runs throughout the day.
To celebrate the restaurant’s Midtown arrival, the first 50 people will receive a free rice and meat platter, while the next 50 get half-off their platter order. More importantly, The Halal Guys will donate a dollar for every platter or gyro sold during the grand opening event to the American Red Cross to help the victims of Hurricane Michael.
The Halal Guys-Midtown is just around the corner from chef Jason Liang and John Chen’s (Brush Sushi Izakaya) Japanese fast-casual restaurant Momonoki and coffee shop Momo Cafe at the complex.
Franchise owner Moynul Chowdhury says he plans to open a Duluth location in the Kroger shopping plaza at 3455 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard as well as three other locations possibly in Buckhead, Battery Atlanta, and Kennesaw.
The Halal Guys opened their first Atlanta location in 2017 at 4929 Buford Highway.
