Nina & Rafi, the joint venture Italian restaurant from Billy Streck (Hampton + Hudson, Cypress Street Pint & Plate) and Anthony Spina (O4W Pizza), is finally under construction at SPX Alley on the Eastside Beltline. The website went live this week, and the partners have been teasing the restaurant’s progress on Facebook and Instagram. That includes the arrival of the pizza ovens. Nina & Rafi could open next month in the Old Fourth Ward.
Spina is bringing the coveted grandma pie back to the Old Fourth Ward after moving 04W Pizza from Irwin Street Market to downtown Duluth in 2016. The grandma pie became a runaway favorite among Atlanta’s food writers and pizza aficionados when Spina opened the market stall in 2015.

Beyond “grandma,” Nina & Rafi plans to feature Spina’s other pizzas (yes, they’re just as delicious,) Italian snacks, sandwiches, salads, and pasta on its menu. Streck and Spina named the restaurant for their grandmothers.
