Southern breakfast and lunch cafe Huskers will expand to the Suwanee Crossroads Shopping Plaza on October 16, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The first Huskers opened its doors in Stone Mountain in August 2016.
A former senior vice president at Waffle House who retired from the mega-chain in 2015, founder Carl Smith didn’t stray far when he decided to build the Huskers reputation around affordable breakfast dishes.
Though the Huskers menu includes a few waffles, the main focus is grits, which can be topped with everything from salmon or steak to milk gravy or pork gravy and more. The menu also includes melts, pancakes, and other Southern comfort foods.
The cafe serves the full menu, both breakfast and lunch, all day.
The new Huskers will be open seven days a week at the Suwanee Crossroads Shopping Plaza (3255 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road).
