After a series of successful daytime pop-ups, Marcel’s late night-only, line-inducing burger headlines the restaurant’s new — and permanent — lunch menu beginning Monday, December 3. Ford Fry’s swanky ode to the old school steakhouse at Westside Provisions District is bringing back lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
“Marcel by Day” includes the burger and cheeseburger, consisting of a large, loosely-packed patty topped with applewood smoked bacon, Dijonnaise, and pickles. There’s an option to add a fried egg (do this.) A generous portion of pomme frites and an assortment of milkshakes, with or without booze, are also on the menu.
“I’ve always felt doing something for the neighborhood is important,” Fry says in the press release. “We experienced an overwhelming excitement when we threw down with our burger pop-ups, but the line was so long!”
Special, seasonal milkshake flavors, such as egg nog, candy cane, and Christmas cake, are available during lunch throughout December.
In other Fry news, the chef just wrote his first cookbook. “Tex Mex: Traditions, Innovations, and Comfort Foods From Both Sides of the Border” comes out April 23.
