Doughnut Dollies Opens in January on Howell Mill Road

The second location of the popular Marietta doughnut shop is next door to Zunzi’s Takeout near Collier Road

Marietta’s Doughnut Dollies is moving forward with plans to open a second location at 1963 Howell Mill Road in Atlanta, between Zunzi’s Takeout and Domino’s Pizza. The shop, owned by chef Anna Gatti and Chris Gatti, should open in January.

The 625-square-foot cafe inside includes seating for a dozen people and a walk-up window to pick up preorders. The Gattis commissioned Atlanta-based artist Adam McNeil to create a mural on the building’s exterior.

“Since opening Doughnut Dollies in 2015, Chris and I have had so much fun - we couldn’t be more excited to introduce Atlanta’s West Midtown to the delicious and ever-changing doughnuts we’ve become known for,” the chef says in the press release. “We are thrilled to be joining such a vibrant community and putting down roots in a city we already consider home.”

Doughnut Dollies-Howell Mill will open at 7 a.m. daily and remain open until doughnuts run out. The Marietta location officially closes at 4 p.m., unless they sell out.

The shop is named for the wartime Red Cross volunteers who delivered coffee and doughnuts to U.S. soldiers. It offers classic and seasonal doughnuts such as glazed, red velvet, salted caramel, and birthday cake. Gluten free and alphabet letter doughnuts are also available. The shop serves Athens-based Jittery Joe’s Coffee.
