Inman Park Gains a Low-Key Diner and Lounge on Wednesday

Take a look at the menu for LLoyd’s Restaurant & Lounge, opening Wednesday in Inman Park

Beth McKibben is the editor and staff reporter for Eater Atlanta and has been covering food and cocktails locally and regionally for 12 years.

LLoyd’s Restaurant & Lounge, the “unholy mix of Chili’s and Southern comfort food,” opens at the Dickey on Dekalb Avenue in Inman Park on Wednesday, November 28. The restaurant is part of the Victory Brands restaurant group, which owns Victory Sandwich Bar in Decatur and Inman Park, S.O.S Tiki Bar in Decatur, and Little Trouble at Westside Provisions District.

Owner Ian Jones says LLoyd’s (yes, spelled with two capital Ls) skews more lounge-y diner than dive bar. And, by the looks of it, there’s definitely a low-key, throwback vibe going on, which is something the group has mastered at its other restaurants.

The menu includes burgers, meatloaf, and fried chicken, along with a blue plate special. In addition to the regular menu, LLoyd’s is also doing weekday night specials like Monday night snow crabs, Tuesday prime rib night, and a fried chicken dinner on Wednesday. Regulars to the brand’s defunct cocktail bar Paper Plane (RIP) — now S.O.S Tiki Bar — are quite familiar with these weekday evening specials.

For those in need of a solid happy hour deal, weekday evenings at LLoyd’s includes $5 martinis, vespers, and Manhattans from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
