Brad Morris has been named chef for the forthcoming Hazel Jane’s Wine Bar & Coffee in the Old Fourth Ward, according to their Instagram. Hazel Jane’s will be located next door to Kevin Gillespie’s beer garden and restaurant Cold Beer in the Edge complex on the Beltline. SweetWater Brewing names its new taproom chef
Nick Anderson (City Winery, Ormsby’s, Canoe, Tomo, Rathbun’s) is the chef for SweetWater’s new taproom and kitchen opening in January 2019. The taproom is currently closed for renovations. When it reopens next year, the new-and-improved taproom will include a wraparound bar, roll-up, garage doors, which open to the outside, plenty of communal seating, and a kitchen with a counter-serve food menu to pair with SweetWater’s beers. A release party for Giving Kitchen’s new batch of Second Helping IPA takes place on Thursday, November 15, starting at 4:20 p.m. Tickets are $20 and include Anderson’s brisket sandwich, a pint of beer, and a crowler of Second Helping.
