Grindhouse Killer Burgers is opening its eighth location at 2573 Apple Valley Road in Brookhaven at the forthcoming Dresden Pointe development, What Now Atlanta reports. Owner Alex Brounstein, who told Eater Atlanta in April he was considering Brookhaven for the next location, plans to open in the city north of Buckhead in early 2020.
A representative for Grindhouse says the Brookhaven restaurant, at the intersection of Dresden Drive and Apple Valley Road, is the “only restaurant at the site and a law office will be part of the other building.” Like the Decatur location on North McDonough Street, Grindhouse-Brookhaven will also include a 21 and up, rooftop bar.
Brounstein opened his latest Grindhouse on Memorial Drive in Grant Park near Reynoldstown in April. The single story restaurant is similar to the Piedmont Heights outpost but includes more patio space — a covered area complete with Astro-Turf, an outdoor bar, and another with shuffleboard and ping pong.
In addition to Brookhaven, Brounstein was considering franchise locations on West Paces Ferry and in Alpharetta. However, he now says he’s no longer looking for other properties.
Grindhouse Killer Burgers has locations at Sweet Auburn Curb Market, in Piedmont Heights/Ansley, Grant Park, Decatur, Athens, and two stalls at Hartsfield-Jackson International airport.
Update, December 18: This story was updated to reflect Alex Brounstein’s comments on future locations.
